BEING SILK……..


Think of Silk and so many adjectives will come to the mind….Think of Silk Smitha and her character portrayed by Vidya Balan in “Dirty Picture”….No guesses required..Come on you know it….So cheap of you, I didn’t mean that….I know the smoothness,warmth,beauty,radiance of Silk can make any one fantasize.
What a character and What an appropriate sobriquet “SILK”. She allowed and inspired people to let their imagination run riot…..Remember the Cadbury Bournville Ad. “You don’t Buy it..You Earn it”..She earned the title of “Silk”.
Let’s come out of all the fantasies she inspires you to have and get close to the reality which surrounds her character. Feel her character… you will come to know what it signifies and what you can learn from her.
She knew what she was capable of…She knew what she want to achieve in her life.Once you know yourself and your abilities,you always find right things at right place and at right time.
She was happy with the way she looked….She was always her own self as natural as possible.Never ever have any inferiority complexes…Learn from other’s but don’t copy them…Love yourself, so you can love other’s.
She was proud of what she did….Nothing bothered her..Nothing stopped her. Always feel proud of your work and your role…No work is mean, No role is too small to be ignored.
Walk with everything in your stride….Listen to other’s but don’t get bogged down. Learn to draw positives from criticism and never allow admiration to overshadow your humbleness.
Silk is resistant to dirt….so you should also be.
Silk is strong & need less care….so be rough and tough.
Silk is elastic….so be flexible in your approach.
Silk is royal….so be bighearted.
Silk is lustrous….so be happy and keep sparkling.
Silk is smooth…so be easy going.

    Hello Sir,
    I always appreciate your poems & blogs. But I don't know why you are discussing Vidya Balan in " Dirty Picture" as Silk Smitha?
    There is nothing to discuss.If you want to discuss then why don't you discuss the real Silk Smitha Becoz she was the real person or Rakhi Sawant becoz she is doing the same.You just Google real Silk Smitha you will know your self who she was?
    I strongly feel in today's ear every second girl is doing the same in Hindi Cinema so whats the difference, I'm really wandering?
    I'm sorry If i said something wrong & please sir give me the answer.
