Are you Indispensable or Important: Make a sensible choice

Very often heard ……Show must go on……No one is Indispensable.
Very seldom heard……You are Important…..You are needed.
The journey of making oneself important and making others feel important seems to be difficult but it is far more practically achievable and sustainable than making unsuccessful efforts to make oneself indispensable or considering oneself so.
The writing on the wall is clear…but still there are people, employers, employees who consciously or subconsciously somehow manage to believe that they are indispensable and keep on challenging the indispensable Nature.
Once you start thinking that you can exist without the other… the bond is broken…than you do exist but in what form and for how long...is debatable.
Dependability is good till you are important and make others feel important. This form of dependability make you feel comfortable in each other’s company and you feel secure and confident. Dependability in the form of indispensability creates the feeling of insecurity and fear.
Relationships stops to exist once the partners start considering themselves to be indispensable. No matter what relationship you share….Parent-Child, Husband-Wife, Employer-Employee etc…..relationship exist till you are important to each other but once the indispensability factor creep in….a vacuum is created which is being filled by the feeling of insecurity and fear.
So make yourself important and make other’s feel important. The mantra is universal…could be followed in personal relationships as well as in the corporate world to retain the best talent available and to work with the best employer available.
Be Important…Not Indispensable……………..
